Player can clip into blocks if placed under character

While playing Minecraft Bedrock Edition on Nintendo Switch, I've noticed that a couple times when placing a block under myself (player), I clip into the block. This is not a consistent behavior, and happens when I least expect it. 

Observation: I was not able to recreate this glitch consistently, although I do have a clip of it happening.

Expected Behavior: The player should not be able to clip through the block when it is placed and should rather land on top of the block.
