Character disappeared

I was created a character and deleted one of my characters to start again but when I deleted the character disappeared from the 5 slots and the slot kept loading. Even after closing and reopening the game that slot is not coming back for editing or using. I have lost 2 slots and I am unable to gain them back. Even through another platform those slots have kept on loading.
