Customized avatar resets to a base skin after each day

Each day when I log into Minecraft, my avatar which uses various Character Creator items is reset to a base skin (Steve, Alex, etc.). If I customize my avatar again, the save will  stay that way for the rest of the day, but I have found twice now that my avatar is reset the following day. This bug has even completely deleted saved but unused customized avatars in the Dressing Room. The only characters that do not reset are ones using skins from licensed add-ons (Sonic the Hedgehog, Star Wars, etc.)
