All settings revert to default when game crashes/computer suddenly loses power

Most of the time, when power goes out, or my game crashes or I force quit it using ALT + F4, all the settings get reset to default. This has happened on virtually all versions of Minecraft for Windows that I've played on. 

 

Steps to reproduce:

 

1. Open Minecraft Bedrock Edition

2. Press ALT + F4 or force shutdown your computer by holding down the power button or force close the app from recents menu on Android.

 

Expected behavior:

 

Settings shouldn't revert back to default.

 

Observed result:

 

All game settings will, most of the time, revert back to default.

 

NOTE: It, most likely, also happens on iOS, but I don't have an iOS device to test it on.
