Mobs spawned from ominous spawners don't drop items they picked up after their spawning

During an ominous trial, i was killed by a husk spawned from the trial, which led to said husk obtaining my armor, shield, and sword (all netherite), i killed him with a pickaxe, but after death, my armor wasn't dropped.
