Minecraft PE 0.16.2 crashes when attempting to log into MC Win 10 host over LAN

Android LG G 7 tablet crashes 100% of the time when attempting to log into a Minecraft Windows 10 hosted world over LAN. Tried unloading all texture packs on the Win10 machine and play on default and still the MCPE game will crash. This doesn't happen the other way around as the Win10 version can enter and play a LAN hosted world in Android.Crash also happens when loading resource packs to the tablet (purchased resource packs)
