MCPE-18160Selecting Settings Causes Game to Lag

Choosing the Settings menu whilst in game results in severe lag / freeze. Even changing the volume of the device won't work until the settings menu has opened. It will usually open the settings menu eventually without crashing, though.
Steps to Reproduce:
- Press back to bring up the menu gui
- tap Settings
- Notice the delay/lag/freeze

The game freezes when I tap settings button while playing.
Device: DL Tablet 3405
PS: My device has an Intel Atom processor.
