Ender Dragon has a massive shadow

On the PC version the Ender Dragon never had a shadow, so no idea if this is a bug or what. When you're fighting the Ender dragon, you see this massive shadow looming over you at times. This will cause many players to be looking for his shadow on the ground, when your focus should be where the dragon is in the air. Plus in the end there is no day light shining on him.
