The bell doesn't always show the 3 kings when broken

I was able to put down the bell and immediately identify the three kings and the main leader when I broke it. Now the when I put down the bell or break it, the green particles take till the next day or not at all to show up. This is important because these three generate the center of my village and iron golem spawn.
