Unable to move item from inventory into double chest.

After an hour or so playing the game I was unable to move recently collected birch logs into a double chest.

The attachment demonstrates attempts to move the birch into the chest.

First by simply dragging, then shift-click, then right-click to split - nothing works.

When reloading the world it worked fine.
