blocks in the display are blue

I have MCPE installed on my Kobo Vox, and up until version 0.6.x everything was fine. Now, when I start up any game (I haven't tested it in Creative mode, only survival mode), when I enter the world, all of the blocks are blue. As I scroll around on the screen, sometimes the blocks fill in correctly (land, sand, water, etc), but then they are replaced with blue blocks over a period of 1 minute.
