Switch crashes when try to join game hosted on Xbox.

When attempting to join a game of Minecraft hosted on a friend's Xbox One, my Switch will get all the way to loading resources before crashing with the message:

The software was closed because an error occurred.

I have tried restarting the Switch, archiving and reinstalling Minecraft, deleting and reinstalling Minecraft from the store, and I get the same issue everytime.  I am currently running version 1.20.80, but it didn't work on the previous version either.  We made sure both consoles were on the same version.
