Mace doesn't protect elytra crash damage

Steps to reproduce
-Imprison a mob
-Make a pillar high enough
-Dress yourself with an elytra
-Take a mace
-Put yourself on survival
-Launch yourself (open the elytra) and dive with the elytra on the mob, hit the mob

Observed results
Your fall damage is not canceled
Expected results
The fall damage should be canceled or diminished
