My computer just uninstalled the freaking game when I went to update it and now I've lost all my worlds

I went to go update the game, but when it tried updating the game just uninstalled itself form my computer. Now all of my data has been erased. Is this something that can be fixed? I spent a ton of time on one of those worlds and losing it really pisses me off.
