Playing for a while then app randomly closes and deletes all the work I just made

Minecraft will generate world then i will play for a few minutes. Randomly the app will crash and close out back to the ios home screen. When i log back into the game all the work i just made disappeared. This has happened on other versions as well. The weird thing is some work i just made will save but most will not. Thank you for all your help!
