Pillager patrols spawning too frequently

After playing on a world for long enough, Pillager Patrols start spawning too frequently, they spawn every night or every other night. I found that they spawn mostly at night, like regular hostile mobs (zombies/skeletons). I am around 100 block away from a village and there a no pillager outposts nearby.

Steps to reproduce

1 Wait for a pillager patrol to spawn

2 Get rid of them by killing them or despawning

3 Wait until they start spawning again

Result

They will start spawning every night or every other night. Like regular hostile mobs (zombies, skeletons, creepers)

Expected result

They shouldn't be spawning this frequently, they should be spawning like every 5 days or so.
