World would not sync after recent update.

After the update. I noticed my world was not syncing all the time. A reboot seemed to fix it. So I did not worry about it.
Last day or so it would not sync. At all. So today I reinstalled the game. Common thing with anything Microsoft. They have infected you.
I was able to load game right before I reinstalled. When I reinstalled it found the game. Asked me which one I wanted to installed. gave me hard drive icon and cloud icon. Chose hard drive.
Why does it need to sync if it's loading locally.  It failed. I have lost another world. A year or two I lost my last one.
