Game crashes when flying with Elytra

I recently built a new gaming PC (i9 14900K, MSI 4080 RTX, etc.) It worked great but since the last update or two (1.20.60s), flying make my CPU's core temperature spike from about 68c-75c to about 82c-103c. This is without shaders or high render distance or behavior packs (add-ons) or anything fancy. Minus a couple instances, crashes occur when flying with Elytra. Eventually, I got a BSOD right after clicking save and quit, which ruined (corrupted) my world by resetting the chunks I was in at BSOD. After reverting to a personal backup, I uploaded the world to a realm to protect it and crashes still occur.
