Blast Furnaces Won't Work on Minecraft Beta V1.20.70.20-22 (NOT A BUG, IT WAS A USER ERROR)

Blast Furnaces Will Not Work at all, I Have Tried Using Coal, Coal Blocks, and other Wood things As Fuel & I have tried many different items to smelt in the blast furnace. The Furnace Wont even Light.

 

I was dumb and forgot I had to put ore in the furnace, I have been using an older version on a different device, which allowed you to put anything in a blast furnace.
