Chat text box disappears too quickly

While it seems to work fine on Windows,  the messages from chat fade away within a span of three seconds on my Android phone, forcing me to have to open the chat menu to read any message longer than three seconds worth of reading.

It should last ten seconds before fading away as it always has.
