Hard to or sometimes can't connect via cross platform

I have since the new 1.20.60/120.61 update had trouble connecting with a friend via cross platform play we have tried old worlds and new worlds my friend can SOMETIMES connect to SOME of my worlds although it usually takes a while or my friend has to try multiple times my friend plays on the nintendo switch while I play on PC if I try to join one of my friend's worlds it will do one of 3 things 1 after a while say the world is no longer available to join 2 say it couldn't connect after a while 3 get stuck on the locating server screen this did not happen on the older versions of 1.20 pls fix this soon I wanna be able to play with my friend.
