Left trigger not working in world/realm

When in a world or realm the left trigger is not working. So I can’t eat, place items, open doors/chests, use tables, ect. The Left trigger works normally in the menus and on everything else on my console. I checked sensitivities and controller settings on the console and in Minecraft; everything is normal. This was an issue before the most recent update but the update didn’t fix it.
