Lag in Gameplay

Game used to be smooth but is now jerky and landscapes/ backgrounds are incomplete. Blacks are knocked out of walls as it struggles to update. I am used to landscapes gradually forming, but this is totally different.
I have happily played on iPad for 3 years so it is def the game not the equipment.
Also your form tells me version 0.16.0 doesn't exist
