MInecraft PE 0.16.0 crashes when opening world - ANDROID

Minecraft crashes right after opening a world, both in multiplayer across LAN and solo play. The difference from other issues herein reported is this is happening in Android 5.0.2.... not in iOS alone.

Like so many others, I have a 6 yr old who lost his minecraft which does not understands why he lost it if we paid for it...

PLease help/advice.
