Player receives fall damage when holding the jump button while falling from 2 blocks height consecutively

The title is a little bit confusing, but when you fall from 2 blocks height consecutively while holding the space bar (jump button) you'll take fall damage, that can be a very serious problem. I'm putting a video here so it's easier to understand and replicate it (to replicate it hold the space bar ALL THE TIME and jump just like I did in the video.
