Simulation distance is capped at 8 chunks

Why the simulaiton distance is just capped at 8 chunks this distance should be atleast 16 or 20 chunks. Because I build very large machines and 8 chunks too short for them, My device has snapdragon 870 and 8 gb of ram so it should easily control all of that.
