Reset control settings and cannot switch from joystick mode back to d-pad mode

In the settings, i previously reset my current “Touch” settings, which changed my control configuration from “D-Pad and Touch to Interact” to “Joystick and Touch to Interact”. However, once i go to change it back, it stays on “Joystick and Touch to Interact” mode. Got any fixes for this?
