Leads sticking to fences but not mobs.

Leads are staying attached to fences, but mobs that are hooked on leads are able to break away and wander off. This happened repeatedly with my allays, After my most recent save, I came back to find my my favorite horse missing, the lead knot still on the fence and the lead floating next to it.
