Some items like string and sugar cane are humongous

Started making my sugar cane, it's as big as the player! It's also with some string and possibly other items. It doesn't effect full blocks but it doesn't effect every item. Just some and it's really annoying. Especially when place said items, it blocks vision temporarily.
