Cannot get stone while mining

When I mine/dig through stone, I don't collect any stone blocks

What I expected to happen was...:
I expected that when I mined stone, stone blocks I could pick up would appear.

What actually happened was...:
Stone breaks apart, but no stone is dropped for me to pick up.

Steps to Reproduce:
I can't really give you steps, since I think it might be device specific. but it happens on every world I create, I've already tried deleting and installing the app again.
