My Minecraft(PE) fps only goes up to 60

My iPad has 120Hz(iPad Pro 12.9 inch 5th generation), and I changed my Minecraft fps setting to maximum. However, Minecraft fps only goes up to 60. Ofc my vsync setting is 0. Also, does mcpe support 120fps? If it's not, then I don't know what's the point of fps settings.
