The Nether portal put me below the world

I wanted to play today and i went though the nether and my game froze so i force closed the game because i could not quit normally no matter how long i waited but when i reloaded the world i was below the Nether's void falling endlessly no way to get out this world i am playing on has cheats disabled as well.
