Sound not working (Bedrock)

Ive had minecraft bedrock for years now, and bought java about 2 years ago. I stopped playing for a while but about 9 months ago i started to play bedrock again. i noticed that the sound did not work (just on bedrock). I have tried checking the game setting, the audio drivers, clearing the game cache, ran a windows update and uninstalled and reinstalled the game. Nothing i did worked so i gave up. Now my minecraft phase has started, i want to play again, however the sound is still not working. Is this a bug? Can it be fixed? I cannot find anything online which has helped me. Hope this can be resolved as it ruins the gameplay. Thank you
