Where did the illager go during the raid?

I spent several minutes trying to find it. 1 remaining illager I searched every nook and cranny of the village but I couldn't find any illagers left. This problem gave me a headache. I think illagers should not disappear during attacks. illagers should help find targets such as iron golem villager players and kill them like in Java version
