Games crashes when I combine items in an anvil

I looked for open issues with this bug and found zero. When I try to combine my 2 enchanted pickaxes in an anvil it freezes, then crashes the game. Everytime.I try it keeps crashing my game. I'm on Android 5.1 I believe? My phone just updated so I'm not sure? It's a newer galaxy. The lag is pretty bad too especially around the new pink tree biome or big caves. I've played for 10 years and never had problems like this.
