Tapping with controller does not work

Hello Microsoft, Mojang and / or any other party’s,

In previous Game updates/versions you could tap commands and @‘s with left and right on the d-pad (Xbox Series X|S controller), on this game version/update however, I can’t do that anymore. (I couldn’t find a related topic)

 

I hope you’ll look into this, because that was a super handy feature for fast tapping commands and tagging gamertags.

 

I have done a full hard reset, re-downloaded Minecraft and more options to find a solution on my end, but I couldn’t find any.
