Upon the game loading, I can't use select or D-pad buttons at all.

Upon loading game on Xbox series S, I can't select anything or use D-pad buttons to anything on the screen. Has been an issue previously and was fixed, but am back to having the same issue again. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the game, rebooted Xbox, and everything that was suggested to do and still have the same issue.
