Typing commands in chat box results in previous code being deleted

I'm on MCPE and I like to make big fancy builds in creative using commands to help me. In this most recent update, I have noticed that when I go to type in my command, I can get maybe a dozen or so characters typed out before the text directly behind my cursor gets deleted while I am typing out the rest of the code. Below, I've pasted a link to a video for reference. If I mess around with adding spaces randomly, I can sometimes find the code that got deleted but it's all messed up. If I don't go back and add random spaces, only the text after the random deletion gets sent out, so the command is just sent as a chat.
