Waking up puts me underneath/inside a chest

Since the latest update, I presume due to the new crawl mechanics being added, I am now instead of just simply "inside" the chest next to the bed but still standing, I am now put into crawl mode inside the chest so that it looks like I am sunken down into the floor.
