Ladders are not able to be placed on sea lanterns

I was making a ladder chain on the wall and one of the blocks part of the wall was a sea lantern, it is not possible to place a ladder on the side of a sea lantern.

 

Steps to reproduce:

1. Place down a sea lantern
2. Attempt to place a ladder on the side of the sea lantern
