When exporting worlds or structures the files doesn't have noting in them

I want to export a structure and when I try to import it noting happen. I went in the file of the structure noting was in it then I try to export a world and the same thing happen noting was in the file so I couldn't import it. I try it it on a preview version the same thing happen I even redownload minecraft it didn't fix it
