Broken Main Menu

When I load up the game on Xbox I cannot press anything. I can only navigate the main menu. A reddit post was made about this 9 months ago. I can get it to work with mouse and keyboard but there seems to be no controller input in the menus.

Can you fix this? The game is literally unplayable on controller.

This is mainly a problem on Xbox, however switch can sometimes have this problem too.
