Food won't cook in old type worlds

Any type of raw uncooked food will not cook in a furnaces. I have only tested
this on chicken, porckchops, regular fish, and salmon. When you open the
furnace GUI, it will allow you to out fuel into the furnace, but the food items do
not show up at all. Thank you for reading
