downloaded worlds crashing and character spawns at same location in each world

I downloaded my old Realms server a few months before it expired amongst a few other regular worlds and decided to revisit them recently. When joining each world, I spawned at 216, 61, 4 and after walking a few blocks, the performance of the game immediately fell till the point where the screen wasn't moving. A few seconds later, it crashed. This happened for each world.

I checked my graphics driver, changed the games to creative, made a copy of some worlds and it still had the same outcome.
