Slow Elytra when using Creative Mode Flight

If you double tap space (jump button) to activate creative mode flight while you're using elytra, your elytra will be much slower and pretty much unusable, it's as if you're floating in the air.

Whenever I punch in the video is when I toggle creative mode flight.
