Trail ruins are generated in a wrong way.

 The top part of ruins is above surface, generating the right way, but when you dig down there's no more. You have to dig 10-20 block of dirt and stone and only then you can find the rest of the structure, if you're lucky. Sometimes there's no structure at all.
