Crouching in water with joystick controls doesn't work

With regular controls (d-pad) I can crouch in water. For example, I need to crouch in water on magma block to not get damage, and I can. But when I switch to new controls (joystick), I cannot crouch anymore. The button for crouching is working on land, but when I go in water, it works for swimming down, and when I hit the ground it doesn't crouch. Please fix this, Mojang.
