My Minecraft worlds say failed to sync data whenever I try to play them and the backgrounds of the pictures are all gray

When I uninstall Minecraft and reinstall Minecraft it caused all my worlds to not be playable and say failed to sync data whenever I try to play them. It also has a gray background and I really need to fix this. It has been going on for about a month.
