Armor gone

I exited a nether portal into the overworld and i was immidietly killed by a Hoglin, came back and all my stuff was there except for my netherite armor. not sure what happened to my armor, it's nowhere to be found.

Steps to Reproduce:

1. bring a hoglin into the over world 
2. give it armor
3. wait for it to turn into a piglin 
4.  
5. Observed Results:

armor despawns

Expected Results:
armor should transfer over

onto piglin
