Marketplace not working

Whenever i open minecraft on Nintendo Switch, the Marketplace button in the main menu appears disabled, and when the cursor touches it, a text box says something like "Session not valid. Try restarting the game". I tried restarting the game multiple times but it doesn't seem to work.
